Terms and Conditions

Before booking with The Bugs Adventures, please review our terms and conditions. By joining one of our trips, you agree to the guidelines outlined here. These terms are in accordance with Norway’s Package Travel and Travel Guarantee Act (LOV-2018-06-15-32). The Bugs Adventures has provided a guarantee to the travel guarantee fund.

General

Our trips take place in remote, adventurous areas where risks may occur. While our experienced crew is well-trained to handle emergencies, The Bugs Adventures is not liable for accidents. It’s essential to follow guide instructions to ensure your safety. Treks like Mount Kilimanjaro come with natural risks such as altitude sickness or injuries. We take every precaution to keep you safe.

Travel Documents & Health

Travelers are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas, and required documents. It’s also your responsibility to have appropriate travel and cancellation insurance, and to consult a travel health clinic for necessary vaccinations before departure.

Payments

A 4,000 NOK deposit is required 90 days before departure to confirm your booking. For trips including flights, an additional 15,000 NOK must be paid for ticket reservations. Full payment is due 60 days before travel. Late or incomplete payments may result in cancellation.

Cancellations

  • Cancel 80+ days before: Full refund minus 2,000 NOK admin fee

  • Cancel 40–79 days before: 50% refund

  • Cancel under 40 days or no-show: No refund

Flight cancellations follow the airline’s policy.

Insurance

Travel insurance covering the full trip period, including medical evacuation and return transport, is required.
