On this day, you will depart from Oslo, Norway, and fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania, with a layover in a major hub like Doha, Amsterdam, Ethiopia or Istanbul. Once you arrive at Kilimanjaro, you will be welcomed by your guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will complete the visa formalities and meet your The Bugs Adventures Travel representative. After a brief greeting, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, which is about a 45-minute to 1-hour drive. Settle into your accommodation, enjoy a delightful dinner, and prepare for your adventure with breakfast the following morning.

After breakfast, you will start your adventure with a drive to Tarangire National Park, which will take around two hours. Upon arrival, you will go on your first game drive, where you will encounter the iconic baobab trees and large herds of elephants, along with other wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras. After the game drive, you will proceed to Karatu, where you will check into your lodge for the night.

Ruaha National Park is the third largest national park in Tanzania. It lies along the Great Ruaha River, is known for its large elephant population, and is a true paradise for birdwatchers with over 570 species. Besides, you might catch a glimpse of lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, elands, sable antelopes, jackals, or the rare African wild dog. Game drives are special, as you drive through an untouched ecosystem in this relatively quiet but stunning park!

Today, you will spend a full day in the Serengeti, beginning with an early morning game drive to spot the Big 5 (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos) and other incredible wildlife. You will explore different regions of the park, including the Seronera River and Grumeti River areas, known for their high wildlife concentration. After a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue your afternoon game drive, before returning to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful evening.

On this day, you will continue your adventure in the Serengeti with another full day of game drives. You will explore more of the vast savannahs, where you will have further opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and perhaps even witness the Great Migration if you are visiting during that time of year. After another exciting day, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

After breakfast, you will drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater, which will take about four hours. Upon arrival, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive, where you will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site and see its wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and black rhinos. After the game drive, you will ascend back to the crater rim and head to Karatu for your overnight stay. You will enjoy dinner and relax for the evening.

After breakfast, you will visit the village of Mto Wa Mbu for a cultural tour, where you will get a chance to explore the local community and learn about Tanzanian rural life. The tour will include visits to farms and interactions with the villagers, offering a unique insight into their culture and traditions. After the tour, you will drive to Arusha for the night. You will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha.

On the final day of your trip, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back to Norway. Your 8-day Tanzanian safari will come to an end as you board your flight, carrying with you unforgettable memories of wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural experiences from your time in Tanzania.
